New Feature on CTAS Blog Site

Beginning this month the CTAS blog will incorporate a new feature. We’ve added interactive polls to survey website users and blog subscribers. An interactive poll allows us to quickly and informally get feed back from YOU on what issues and solutions you have implemented at the local program level. We will post a new poll every two weeks on a topic related to solid waste management in Tennessee. For email subscribers, visit our site directly at http://ctasenvblog.tennessee.edu to record your answer. Once the poll closes we’ll post the answer and add a new poll for a two week period.

Look for the poll in the left side of the menu bar along with the ‘big orange’ highlights. And if you have an idea for a topic to post or a poll to conduct let us know.

  2. I would like to know how the State of Tennessee has no guidlines for rock quarries. I am now trying to stop a rock quarry from opening next door to me. In my neighbors front door. They are within 25 feet from some homes and only 1.5 miles from Joppa Elementary school. So my question is, Should Tennessee have state guidelines on how close a New quarry can open next to existing homes and public schools?
